BOSTON (MyFoxBoston.com) -- Boston police released an image of a car believed to be used in an attempted abduction Thursday.
The reported incident took place in the area of Southampton and Atkinson streets about 1:30 p.m. The female victim tells police she was approached by a light skinned, clean shaven Hispanic male in a small white car
The suspect asked the victim if she needed a ride and she said she was all set. At that point, the suspect reportedly lunged over and grabbed her by the head and neck in an attempt to pull her into the car.
The victim told police she threw a cup of soda in the suspect's face, at which time he threw dirt that was inside the car in her face. He then fled the area.
Police say the victim declined medical treatment.
At the time of the attack, the suspect was wearing a white t-shirt. The car he was driving had a missing passenger seat and may have been a van.
