Boston mayoral candidate wants uniformity for Boston taxis

Officials say these signs should be used to identify licensed livery drivers under the current system.

BOSTON (MyFoxBoston.com) -- One candidate in the Boston mayoral race says he would push to make every licensed taxi in the city the same color following recent attacks on women.

State Rep. Martin Walsh believes one color for all taxis would lead to a safer city.

Each cab company in Boston currently has their own design.

Police say earlier this month two women were sexually assaulted by the drivers of unlicensed taxis.
