PEPPERELL, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- A man died Sunday morning while skydiving at Skydive Pepperell, officials say.

Police report the incident happened at around 11:05 a.m.

According to a statement from Skydive Pepperell, the accident happened during landing and involved an "experienced, licensed" skydiver, and that his parachute did open. Police identified the man as 37-year-old Daniel Pelrine, of Mattapan. They say he died from blunt trauma from the ground.

It was unknown if there was any equipment malfunction during the skydive or landing.
