• Boston man arrested in connection with homicide investigation


    BOSTON (MyFoxBoston.com) – A 22-year-old Boston man was arrested in connection with a homicide that occurred near Woodruff Way in Mattapan early Sunday morning.

    Police responded to 24 Woodruff Way around 2:35 a.m. and found a male suffering from what appeared to be multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was declared dead at the scene.

    According to police, a brown car was seen fleeing the area at a high rate of speed. Officers attempted to stop the car, but the driver refused to pull over.

    In the area of Donwood Terrace and Ridgeview Avenue, the driver pulled to the side of the road and three people hopped out of the car and began running.

    Officers were able to chase down one suspect, and they also recovered a loaded firearm.

    Osmell Odena is charged with unlawful possession of a firearm and unlawful possession of ammunition.

    Police are still searching for the other suspects. An investigation is ongoing.
