Bomb squad inspects suspicious bag left at Boston intersection

BOSTON (MyFoxBoston.com) – Police in Boston inspected a suspicious item left at the intersection of Boylston Street and Arlington Street Tuesday night.

Police responded to the intersection at about 8:25 p.m. after receiving multiple calls that an individual placed what appeared to be a bag at the intersection and walked away.

The bomb squad unit also responded to the Copley Square intersection and deployed their robot to inspect the bag.

Following an initial investigation, the item was deemed safe.

The scene was cleared and surrounding streets were reopened shortly thereafter.
