Body found on East Boston beach identified as 15-year-old

BOSTON (MyFoxBoston.com) - State Police say the body of an teen was discovered on a beach in East Boston Monday.

The Suffolk District Attorney's Office said a passerby called police after seeing the body on Constitution Beach at about 8 a.m. Police say the passerby was a father who was at the beach with his two young girls to watch Air Force One landing right across the harbor at Logan Airport.

The body was found near the waterline and police said the death appeared to be caused by a stabbing. The body may also have been dragged to the spot where it was found.

Around 10 p.m. on Monday, detectives returned to the beach to search a dumpster behind an ice rink. The dumpster is just about 50-yards from where the body was discovered.

The body was identified as 15-year-old Wilson Martinez, of East Boston.

"No piece of information is too small to be helpful,” Suffolk County District Attorney Daniel F. Conley said. “Every piece of evidence, no matter how peripheral it may seem, is important.”
