Billboards put up for woman missing since 1989

WOBURN, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) – Three electronic billboards north of Boston will provide information about Melanie Melanson, who has been missing since 1989.

Clear Channel Outdoor donated two electronic billboards along Route 93 in Woburn and Stoneham; and one on Route 495 in Lawrence.

Melanson went missing from Woburn on Oct. 27, 1989 and Nov. 1 was her 39th birthday.

Officials said many of Melanson's friends and classmates now have children who are the same age as she was when she disappeared. They hope the billboards may jog a memory.
