Bill Clinton urges voters to vote Democrat, Elizabeth Warren

(FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) – Former President Bill Clinton sent out an e-mail on Wednesday urging voters to support Elizabeth Warren so Democrats can hold the majority in Massachusetts.

The e-mail begins, "Most people don't think of Massachusetts as a swing state…Massachusetts will cast the deciding vote for the party that will control the United States Senate."

The former president also wrote, "No matter your personal opinion of Scott Brown, that's the political party that he wants to set agenda in the United States Senate. It's controlled by right-wing Republicans and Tea Party radicals who will fight tooth and nail to go back to the same failed policies that got us in trouble in the first place."

Earlier on Wednesday, Clinton spoke at the University of New Hampshire in Durham. He defended federal tax credits for low-income families. He also criticized Republicans for referring to the nation's debt clock while claiming they haven't come up with a good plan to cut that debt.

A UNH poll released this week shows Mitt Romney trailing President Obama in New Hampshire by as many 15 points.
