BOSTON — David Ortiz will be on the House of Blues stage Thursday evening getting roasted by some of fellow Massachusetts celebrities.
The roast comes before Friday night's Red Sox game where the organization will be retiring number 34, Big Papi's jersey.

The roast is benefiting the David Ortiz Children's Fund, which helps children access pediatric health services.
Comedian Bill Burr, Josh Wolf, Sarah Tiana, Lenny Clarke and athletes Rob Gronkowski and Justin Pedroia are expected to throw some verbal punches.
There are still standing room tickets available at $75. The $300 VIP tickets, which include food and drinks, are also available.
