Bicyclist seriously injured in Worcester car crash

WORCESTER, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) – An 18-year-old bicyclist is in critical, but stable condition following a car crash in the area of 1274 Grafton St. in Worcester Monday night.

Officers responded to the crash at about 10:32 p.m.

Investigators were told a 26-year-old man was driving a 1997 Lincoln Town Car on Grafton Street approaching Blithewood Avenue when he entered the intersection and collided with an 18-year-old man on a bicycle.

A witness, who was riding behind the victim, told police they were riding on Blithewood Avenue when the victim turned left onto Grafton Street and collided with the car.

The victim suffered neck and head injuries.

The car was towed from the scene, and investigators will conduct a full investigation.
