Blue Ivy is the name that Beyonce and Jay-Z gave their first born child. But it's also the name of a Boston event planning company.
Shortly after Beyonce's daughter was born, she tried to trademark the name, reportedly to start her own baby product line. Blue Ivy events sued, saying they had the name since 2009. Last week, they won.
The ruling means that Jay-Z and Beyonce have no legal rights to the name.
