Beverly woman arrested in connection with fatal Lynn crash


LYNN, Mass. (AP/ – A 29-year-old Beverly woman has been arrested in connection with a fatal crash involving a pedestrian that occurred in Lynn early Tuesday morning.

Katherine Hochstin will be charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license for the crash which occurred at the intersection of Union and Smith streets at about 1 a.m.

According to police, Hochstin was taken into custody at the scene after she hit a male pedestrian. He was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The victim's name has not been released.

The crash remains under investigation.
