'Baby Doe' billboards launch across Massachusetts

BOSTON (MyFoxBoston.com) – State Police and the Suffolk county District Attorney are using roadside billboards to help spread the word and try to identify the toddler whose remains were found last month on Deer Island.

A total of 84 MassDOT-permitted billboards in 50 locations across the state will feature contact information on the dedicated tip lines to report any information about who “Baby Doe” is.

Anyone with information on the girl's identity may text the word GIRL followed by their tip to the number 67283. The text-a-tip line is completely anonymous and does not provide authorities with any information about the tipster. A phone line is also available at 617-396-5655. All tips will go directly to the Suffolk

County State Police Detective Unit, which is investigating the little girl’s death.

The body was found on June 25 by a woman walking her dog along the shore of Deer Island. Investigators say they have acted on hundreds of tips in the days that followed but have not yet been able to positively identify the girl.
