BOSTON (MyFoxBoston.com) – An IRS liquidation specialist sold what he called "two of the prettiest parking spaces" he's ever seen located in Boston's Back Bay for $560,000.
According to the Boston Globe, the auction for the tandem parking spots behind 298 Commonwealth Ave. came down to a bidding war between two neighbors. The price for the spots started at $42,000 and ended just over half a million dollars after just 15 minutes.
A space behind 48 Commonwealth Ave. went for $300,000 in 2009, two tandem spots a block from the Public Garden sold for $200,000 in 2012, and a single spot on Marlborough Street went for $250,000 in December, reports the paper.
