Baby found in Worcester road leads police to dead body

WORCESTER (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) – A baby was found alone in a car seat right in the middle of a road. That discovery led police to a grisly scene inside a Worcester apartment.

Javier Maldonado, 32, was found dead inside the home on Lovell Street early Sunday morning. Two unidentified women, ages 36 and 18, were also found there. Both are in critical condition.

The victims were reportedly found by police bound and gagged and suffering from stab wounds. The 3-month old boy was not hurt.

Neighbors and friends can't believe what happened. Detectives are saying little about the search for suspects or a possible motive.

The baby is in state custody. His mother is the 18-year-old victim found inside the house.

In addition to the people, police found a loose pit bull that was taken by animal control.
