Ayer Man charged for drug possession after SWAT Team raid

AYER, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com)— A 57-year-old man suspected of drug dealing was arrested and charged with multiple accounts of drug possession after Mass. SWAT Team raided his home in Ayer Thursday.

Robert Dumas was arrested and charged with 9 counts, including possession of class B drugs.

Officials say Central Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council (CEMLEC) SWAT Team and Ayer detectives found marijuana and Percocet, as well as seven firearms and a significant amount of cash during a search of his home Thursday morning. Three other men, a juvenile, and a woman were also in the house. One of the men, Zechariah Guay, 23, was taken into custody on an unrelated arrest warrant.

Police have been investigating Dumas since late last year. Dumas was allegedly dealing drugs from his home in nearby communities. Undercover police officers conducted drug buys and monitored vehicles entering and leaving Dumas's house before Thursday's search.
