Authorities: 3-year-old girl drowns in Sunapee, NH pond

SUNAPEE, N.H. (MyFoxBoston.com) – A 3-year-old girl reported missing by family members drowned in Perkins Pond in Sunapee, N.H. Sunday.

New Hampshire State Police and Marine Patrol responded to a home on Perkins Pond at about 11:54 a.m.

Family members told authorities the child had been outside playing when, a few minutes later, the victim's mother realized her child was missing.

The girl was found in the water about 10 to 15 feet from the shore. She was taken to New London Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
