Ashland High student seriously injured after being struck by car

ASHLAND, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) – An Ashland High School student was seriously injured after being hit by a car on Main Street Thursday morning.

The Boston Globe reports the 16-year-old female student was walking on Main Street at about 6:30 a.m. when she was hit. Her head made contact with the car's windshield.

The teen was taken via medical helicopter to Beth Israel Medical Center.

Police told the newspaper her injuries may be life-threatening.
