Arrests made in Framingham double shooting

FRAMINGHAM, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) – A man and a woman were arrested Saturday in connection with a Framingham double shooting that gravely injured one man and seriously injured another, authorities said.

Christian Castro-Lainez, 18, of Worcester, was arrested and charged with assault with intent to murder (two counts), unlawful possession of a loaded firearm and misleading investigators. His girlfriend, Margaret Desrosiers, 17, of Framingham, was charged with being an accessory to armed assault with intent to murder, unlawful possession of a firearm, and misleading investigators.

Police were called to 370 Hollis Street at about 12:45 a.m. Saturday for a report of a shooting. Shortly after receiving the call, authorities were informed two men arrived at an area hospital with gunshot wounds.

One of the victims, a 20-year-old Framingham man, suffered a gunshot wound to the head and was taken to Tufts Medical Center via medical helicopter. He is currently on life support.

The second victim, a 21-year-old man also from Framingham, suffered a gunshot wound to the chest and was taken to University of Massachusetts Medical Center also via medical helicopter. He is listed in stable condition.

Following an investigation, police concluded the two victims went to the Hollis Street residence to see Desrosiers and got into a fight with Casto-Lainez. The fight ended, and the victims got into their car to drive away, at which point it is alleged that Casto-Laniez shot the victims, police said.

It is also alleged that both Casto-Lainez and Desrosiers lied to authorities and misled them to believe that another party was responsible for the shootings.

An investigation into the incident is ongoing.

Castro-Lainez and Desrosiers are scheduled to be arraigned on Monday in Framingham District Court.
