Arrest made in vicious beating of MBTA employee

BOSTON (MyFoxBoston.com) – MBTA Transit police said they have made an arrest in the vicious beating of an MBTA employee.

Officials said they received a call about the assault at 11:30 p.m. on Sept. 20 at the Roxbury Crossing station.

Investigators said 27-year-old Mohammad Noor punched the 69-year-old MBTA employee in the face, knocking him to the ground, then kicked him in the head and face. Responding officers chased Noor, but he was able to escape.

Officers eventually arrested Noor on Oct. 4 at Ruggles station.

He is expected to be arraigned Oct. 7 on aggravated assault and battery on an elderly person and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (shod foot) charges.
