Another poll has Connolly in the lead for Mayor of Boston

BOSTON (MyFoxBoston.com) – Less than a month until the election for Boston's next mayor and a new poll has City Councilor John Connolly in the lead.

The UMass-Lowell poll shows Connolly with an eight point lead over Rep. Marty Walsh.

Connolly reportedly has 45 percent of likely voters compared to 37 percent for Walsh. The margin of error is plus or minus five points, reports the poll.

The poll found women, college-educated voters, and those between the ages of 40 and 64 gave Connolly a boost.

A poll by Suffolk University and The Boston Herald also had Connolly out ahead of Walsh with 41 percent of the vote while Walsh trailed with 34 percent.
