Another juror dismissed in Mattapan massacre trial

BOSTON (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) – A second person has been dismissed from the jury deliberating the fate of a man charged with killing four people during a drug-related robbery in Boston.

The judge in the murder trial of Dwayne Moore dismissed the juror on Thursday after learning that the man has a gravely ill relative and has to travel out of the state. A new juror will be randomly selected from the two remaining alternates.

The judge earlier this week dismissed a juror for doing independent ballistic research online and sharing it with other jurors.

Moore, 35, has pleaded not guilty to fatally shooting three adults and a toddler in the city's Mattapan neighborhood in September 2010 during a drug-related robbery. A fifth victim was shot, but was paralyzed and is now in a wheelchair.
