Andover teen gets probation in hazing case

TAUNTON (AP) - An Andover teen charged with hazing at a summerbasketball camp has agreed to two years' probation and at least three months ofcounseling.

Prosecutors said the hazing occurred while Andover High School team memberswere attending the camp at Stonehill College in July 2011. They haven'treleased details because the victims were juveniles.

The Bristol County District Attorney's office said Tuesday that 19-year-oldCraig Luschenat acknowledged in court prosecutors have sufficient facts toconvict him on misdemeanor hazing charges. He also was ordered to stay awayfrom the two victims and Andover High School basketball games. At Monday'shearing Judge Kevin Cunningham continued the case without a finding for the twoyears.

District Attorney Sam Sutter said the victims' families agreed to theresolution of Luschenat's case. A juvenile still faces charges.
