Conn. girl found following regional Amber Alert, father in custody

A Connecticut girl has been found after an Ambert Alert was issued Friday morning following her mother being stabbed to death.

Aylin Sofia Hernandez, 6, was believed to be with her father, Oscar Hernandez, in an Enterprise rental car. According to State Police in Pennsylvania, her father, 39-year-old Oscar Hernandez, is in custody.

Police told WFSB-TV that Hernandez was found near Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Police were pursuing him and three cruisers were damaged in the process, with one trooper receiving a minor injury.

WFSB-TV reports that Aylin was also injured and Hernandez was taken to the hospital.

The mother’s female friend was also stabbed during the dispute, WTIC reported, and she is currently in critical condition.

In the investigation into the stabbing continues.
