All eyes are on the weekend...the potential for more snow

All eyes are on the weekend. Another storm will form at the coast and track close to southern New England. That will spread snow and mixed rain and snow into our area that track would bring the heaviest amounts north and west of I-95.

The mix would be on the front end late Saturday night, but as the storm pulls away, the cold air will sink southward and the snow will pile up farther south as well. There are still days to go to refine this forecast, but we could be facing another heavy snow in Boston and northwest of I-95, over six inches.

The main medium range models agree on this so far. The differences in amount may be more about moderating surface temperatures as well as specific track and intensity. I am confident a storm will form though, so we have to watch this one carefully.
