Above normal temps continue for the holiday weekend

From FOX 25 meteorologist Sarah Wroblewski

Finally no hurricanes, no nor'easters… a fairly quiet forecast with warming temperatures!

Saturday kicked off a beautiful start to the weekend. Under mostly sunny skies, Boston climbed to 55 degrees, which is above normal considering we see temps in the low 50s this time of year. This trend is going to continue through the holiday weekend as a warm front will lift north across the area Saturday night. Before the warmth gets here, clouds will accompany this moisture starved warm front overnight. Perhaps a spot shower is possible, but expect mostly dry and chilly conditions with temps dropping into the 30s.

As this warm front continues to head north through the region on Sunday, we will climb into the upper 50s to low 60s. There will be more clouds than Saturday, but some sunshine will mix in as well. Conditions look pretty good for the Pats game in the afternoon! As winds continue to freshen out of the south southwest ahead of an approaching cold front on Monday, highs will soar 10 to 15 degrees above normal!

However, all good things must come to an end. The aforementioned cold front will finally sweep through the region on Tuesday with scattered showers and drop temperatures for the second half of the week.
