Abington PD searching for armed robbery suspect

ABINGTON, Mass. — The Abington Police Department is asking for the public’s help identifying a man accused of robbing a store at knife point.

The robbery happened around 6:30 p.m. on Aug. 31. Police say the suspect was wearing a black baseball hat with a white logo when he entered the store, then pulled a mask over the lower portion of his face while inside.

Police say the suspect threatened the clerk with a knife, then fled on foot with an unspecified amount of cash.

The suspect is described as a white male in his 20s. He was wearing a gray/dark hooded sweatshirt, black sweatpants with three white stripes down the side, and white sneakers.
