Aaron Hernandez to be arraigned Friday

FALL RIVER, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) – Former New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez is scheduled to be arraigned Friday. Hernandez will appear in Fall River Superior Court at 2 p.m.

Hernandez was indicted on first-degree murder and weapons charges in the death of his friend, Odin Lloyd, whose bullet-riddled body was found in an industrial park about a mile from the ex-player's North Attleborough home.

The six-count grand jury indictment charges Hernandez with killing the 27-year-old Lloyd, a semi-professional football player from Boston who was dating the sister of Hernandez's girlfriend.

Hernandez's lawyers say they are confident their client will be exonerated.

Meanwhile, the prosecution has asked that a motion accusing them of misconduct be thrown out. According to The Boston Globe, the defense claims investigators interviewed a Bristol, Conn., inmate and told him they were there to "help out" Hernandez and never told him they were police officers. The prosecution denies those claims.

Hernandez is being held without bail at a county jail.
