AAA: Gas prices have gone up for 32 straight days

(MyFoxBoston.com) – Gasoline prices in the Bay State are up four more cents this week and have been on the rise nationally for 32 straight days.

A AAA Southern New England survey of gas prices in Massachusetts found that self-serve, regular unleaded gas averages $3.729 per gallon. The current price is a cent below the national average for self-serve unleaded at $3.73.

A year ago at this time, the Massachusetts average was $3.60.

The range in prices in the latest AAA survey for unleaded regular is 28 cents, from a low of $3.59 to a high of $3.87.

In addition, the price of crude oil has also shot up 10 percent in the last two months.

AAA is advising motorists to shop around for the best prices in their area.
