A glimpse of spring in an unlikely location

BOYLSTON, Mass. — High in the hills of Central Massachusetts lives a place where it is spring forever,

The water isn't frozen, the fruit never shrivels and the bulbs bloom in calendar time with spring.

We're talking about the Tower Hill Botanic Garden in Boylston.

"I think people are a little tired of not being able to spend time outdoors," said Grace Elton, Tower Hill Botanic Garden.

"You can come here any time in the winter - and you're in spring," said Barbara Renzi.

These gardens under class are of course, a mere stand-in for spring. After all, orange blossoms in Worcester County?

Well, why not.

"The scent of orange blossoms fill the air and orchids and things like that. And it just makes you feel really good and it makes you forget about all the white stuff outside," said Elton.

So, if you need a break from winter, the perfect spot is just 45 miles from Boston.
