8 surrender in Easton home after domestic incident prompts standoff

EASTON, Mass. — What started as a domestic dispute in North Attleboro and ended as a standoff in Easton Monday morning led police to at least two wanted suspects, according to police.

A domestic dispute turned physical and police began searching for a car reportedly driven by 25-year-old Anthony Tatrouns, the suspect in the altercation. When officers found the car at a house in Easton, they say the people inside refused to come out.

Police say they threw a flash-bang grenade into the house, which led Tatrouns to come out of the house to speak to officers.

Police eventually were able to get eight people out of the home, including the homeowners.

Boston 25 News reporter Bob Ward spoke to a teen who said he was asleep at the time and had no idea why the SWAT team was there.

“I went over to the door, they had people with rifles aiming at the door. They took me out, questioned me about guns, I told them I didn't know about guns because I didn't see any guns,” the teen said.

Tatarouns is facing five charges including two felonies all related to the North Attleboro domestic violence situation.
