$500 reward offered after cat is found shot in Sandwich

SANDWICH, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) – A reward is being offered for information in the shooting of a cat in Sandwich, the Animal Rescue League of Boston said Friday.

"Mr. Paws," an almost 2-year-old orange and white domestic short-haired cat owned by a Sandwich family, was found shot outside the owner's home on Pierre Vernier Drive on May 17. The League says it happened between May 16 and May 17.

The cat was rushed to Oceanside Animal Hospital, but after extensive tests, he was euthanized due to his poor prognosis for recovery, the League said.

A $500 reward is being offered by the League. Anyone with information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible should call 617-226-5610.
