LYNN, Mass. – A 5-year-old girl is recovering at the hospital after falling out of a second-floor window in Lynn.
The fall happened around 4:30 p.m. Monday on Houghton Street, and police said they believe the window had been left open enough for the young girl to crawl through.
“I don't know what to think at this time,” Bunchaum Tuy, the girl’s father, said.

Tuy says his daughter is on the autism spectrum and is a playful 5-year-old who evidently fell from the window.
She was brought to mass general hospital after suffering injuries, but will live.
When asked, Tuy couldn’t explain how this happened. It’s unclear if any adults were nearby when the girl fell.
“Of course, of course, never anything like this happen to me,” he said.
Police are still investigating. It’s unclear if her parents or anyone else will face charges.
