4 arrested after breaking into Wareham home

WAREHAM, Mass. — Police have arrested four people after a Wareham homeowner saw them inside the home on a home security system.

At 6 a.m. Sunday, Wareham police got a call from a homeowner that they saw people inside their Pires Street home on their home security system. When police responded, they heard crashing noises and saw three men jump out of a window in the back of the house and run. A female, who was sitting in a car parked near the home, also ran when officers arrived.

One of the men was arrested on nearby Oakdale Street. A K9 officer began to track the other two men, which led them to Narrows Restaurant. The two men, who were inside the restaurant, ran out of the back door, but were quickly stopped and arrested.

The female suspect was also arrested when police found her walking shoeless on Indian Neck Road. Police say they found two guns in the truck of the car.

All four are being held without bail and will be arraigned on Monday for felony breaking and entering daytime, illegal possession of a firearm, possession of a firearm without a license, possession of a defaced firearm, possession of a firearm with two prior violent crime convictions and resisting arrest.
