DETROIT, MI (MyFoxBoston.com) – Graco has recalled almost 3.8 million car safety seats amid concerns that children could become trapped by the seat buckles.
The recall covers 11 models sold from 2009 through 2013 by Graco, according to a clickondetroit.com article.
According to the article, the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration said that the issue could make it "difficult to remove the child from the restraint, increasing the risk of injury in the event of a vehicle crash, fire or other emergency."
The NHTSA also said in a letter Tuesday that the recall did not include infant car seats with the same buckles. Both Graco and NHTSA have heard complaints about the buckles on infant seats.
