3 more Democrats elected to Mass. House

BOSTON (AP) — Three more Democrats have been elected to the already heavily Democratic Massachusetts House of Representatives.

Dan Cullinane won the special election held Tuesday for the 12th Suffolk district seat vacated when Linda Dorcena Forry was elected to the state Senate. Cullinane won more than 73 percent of the vote against two challengers, according to unofficial results. The seat represents portions of Dorchester, Mattapan, Milton, and Hyde Park.

Daniel Donahue beat his Republican foe in the 16th Worcester district with more than 63 percent of the vote, according to unofficial results. The seat represents several neighborhoods in the city of Worcester.

In the 6th Bristol district, Carol Fiola beat her Republican opponent by about 300 votes, according to unofficial results. The seat represents parts of Fall River and Freetown.
