3 hurt after car slams into Burger King; police searching for driver

EAST BOSTON (MyFoxBoston.com) – Police are searching for the driver who slammed their car into an East Boston Burger King Wednesday morning.

It happened at about 8 a.m. on Bennington Street. When police showed up, the car was not running and the driver was missing.

Three people were hit. Two women and one man were taken to Massachusetts General Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

According to The Boston Globe, a man arrived at the East Boston police department shortly after the crash, claiming he was the owner of car. But police say he didn't match a description witnesses provided of the driver. That man said he gave the keys to a friend earlier in the day, but couldn't identify him.
