3 high school seniors among 4 killed in crash of stolen SUV

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. — Police now say four people including three high school students are dead after a speeding SUV that had been reported stolen crashed into a tree in Springfield this week.

Police on Thursday identified the victims of the Tuesday night crash as 20-year-old Andrew Savage; 18-year-old

Chassidy Spence; 17-year-old Katrina Lee Maisonet; and 17-year-old Adrianna Hernandez.
Springfield Central High School Principal Thaddeus Tokarz confirmed that the young women were seniors at the school.

One other male who was in the vehicle remains in the hospital in critical condition.

The Jeep Cherokee had been reported stolen in Milford, Connecticut last weekend.

Police say the SUV was going 60 miles per hour in a 30 mph zone and had just fled a traffic stop when it crashed, but was not being pursued by officers.
