2 Waltham co-workers split $50M Powerball jackpot

BRAINTREE (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com)  – Two co-workers at a Boston-area Costco store are sharing Wednesday's $50 million Powerball jackpot.

Massachusetts Lottery officials said Thursday that 52-year-old Rosa DeLeon, of Arlington, and 54-year-old Reginald LeBlanc, of Lexington, are taking the $33 million lump sum payout. After taxes, they'll split $23 million.

DeLeon and LeBlanc work at a Waltham store. For the past 10 months they've bought two Powerball tickets for the twice-a-week drawing. They share one quick-pick and one ticket with numbers DeLeon's late father used to play. LeBlanc first noticed their winning quick-pick on a break-room TV at the store.

Both plan to buy houses. DeLeon says she also plans to take care of family. She's married with five grown children and six grandchildren. LeBlanc, who's single, said he also plans a vacation and getting some needed dental work.
