LAWRENCE, Mass. (AP) — Police in Lawrence say two people were struck by bullets when gunfire broke out as people were leaving a party that had been held for a 7-year-old boy.
Police say a 21-year-old man was taken to a Boston hospital with a gunshot wound to his upper left shoulder after the shooting at about 3 a.m. Sunday, and another man who showed up at Lawrence General Hospital about 11 hours later with four bullet wounds to his legs.
Two others were arrested, but no one was directly charged with the shootings.
Police said the shooting remains under investigation and they do not know what sparked it.
