2 seriously injured in Canton motorcycle crash

CANTON, Mass. (AP) - State police say two people have been seriously injured in a motorcycle crash in Canton.

It happened Sunday night in the southbound lanes of Interstate 93.

Authorities say a 43-year-old Dedham man lost control of his motorcycle and crashed. He suffered serious, life-threatening injuries and was airlifted to a hospital.

Troopers say his passenger, a 36-year-old Dedham woman also suffered serious, but non-life-threatening injuries. She was taken by ambulance to a hospital.

Northbound and southbound lanes of I-93 were closed for a short period of time.

State police continue to investigate.
