2 people facing charges after Billerica armed robbery

Two people are now facing charges after an armed robbery in Billerica.

The most recent robbery happened at Petrolex Station on Chelmsford Street in Billerica around 3:20 a.m., and the clerk who was robbed told Boston 25 News reporter Evan White he was worried he was going to be killed.

“At that moment, I felt like he was going to shoot me, but thank God he did not,” Ibrahim Jameel said.

Jameel said it started normal enough, the man walked in and asked to buy cigarettes, but he noticed something was off.

“He said alright, he pulled a gun he pointed at me he said, ‘give me all you got,’” Jameel said.

Jameel said he handed over the cash, then after the man left called Billerica police.

Around 7 p.m. Sunday, police in Billerica got another call about an armed robbery with a similarly described suspect brandishing a similarly described large-caliber revolver.

Later, around 4:30 a.m., Tewksbury police were called for a third armed robbery with the same suspect description.

“The potential for danger is high and based on the frequency of the robberies we obviously [were] concerned that the person was going to get more nervous and more desperate as the day progressed and the robberies progressed,” Deputy Billerica Police Chief Roy Frost said.

Police identified a vehicle they call suspicious, and that led them to 60-year-old Michael Girouard of Billerica.

He’s accused of the armed robbery at the Petrolex and police say more charges are possible.

A woman, Nicole Donlon, was also arrested and faces charges connected to the Petrolex robbery.
