2 killed, 2 seriously injured in head-on crash in Norwood

NORWOOD, Mass. — An investigation is underway in Norwood after police say two people were killed and two others were injured in a head-on crash early Wednesday morning.

At 1:18 a.m., police ere called to Walpole Street for a crash.

Police arrived and found a 2011 Toyota Camry and a 2011 Dodge Ram pickup also, both with extensive front end-end damage. The driver of the truck was lying on the side of the road with a leg injury. He was taken to Norwood Hospital.

Two of the three occupants of the Camry were trapped in the car. The driver, 20-year-old Victoria Cody of Norwood was pronounced dead on scene. The front passenger, 22-year-old Alex Pandolfo of Norwood was taken to Norwood Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The back seat passenger was taken by Medflight to Brigham and Women's with serious injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
