2 jets at JFK searched after bogus threats

NEW YORK (AP) — Authorities say two jets were searched at John F. Kennedy Airport after threats were made in an anonymous phone call.

Port Authority spokesman Ron Marsico says authorities received telephone threats regarding Finnair Flight 5 from Helsinki and American Airlines Flight 124 from San Francisco Monday afternoon.

He says the planes were searched but no explosives were found.

Police say both flights have been cleared.

Marsico says there was "minimal" impact to flights going in and out of JFK.
