2 dead in Lawrence rollover crash, driver remains hospitalized

LAWRENCE, Mass. — Two men died in a car wreck in Lawrence early Saturday morning and the driver of the car remains hospitalized with serious injuries, according to Massachusetts State Police.

The 22-year-old driver was going too fast on the off ramp to Marston Street from Route 495 when his car flipped off the embankment shortly before 2:15 a.m., police said.

Alexander Castro, 23, and Wilbert Munoz, 26, were both fatally injured in the crash. Police said Castro was taken to Lawrence General Hospital, where he later died. Munoz was ejected from the car and pronounced dead on scene, police said.

State police say the crash remains under investigation.
