2 arraigned in fatal Billerica home invasion

LOWELL (AP) - Two Lynn men have pleaded not guilty in connection with a Massachusetts home invasion this summer that left a Billerica man dead.

The Middlesex district attorney's office said 28-year-old Jason Estabrook and 20-year-old Gabriel Arias were arraigned Thursday in Lowell District Court.

Estabrook was held without bail on charges of murder, home invasion and attempted armed robbery. Arias was held on $20,000 cash bail on charges of misleading a criminal proceeding.

Prosecutors say Estabrook and others broke into Quinton Koehler's home on the morning of July 7. Authorities suspect the home was targeted because the suspects thought they would find marijuana and money inside.

The home's residents confronted the suspect in the kitchen and Koehler was shot in the head.

Authorities allege Arias lied to investigators.
