Police said the 16-year-old victim’s injuries are not life threatening, but he was taken to Mass. General Hospital for treatment.
Witnesses said they heard loud arguing before the stabbing. Although the incident happened after school hours, there were people around - night school had just gotten out, and basketball practice was taking place.
"One of the cops came in with the janitor and they were talking to coach," one high schooler told Boston 25 News. "[He] told us to stay in practice because someone got stabbed.
Police searched the area Tuesday night but did not find a suspect. It's unclear is the victim attends Lynn English High School.
