14 families displaced by North Attleborough fire

NORTH ATTLEBOROUGH, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- The American Red Cross tells FOX 25 they offered assistance to 20 adults displaced by an early morning fire in North Attleborough.

The fire broke out at about 1 a.m. Friday at a building on North Washington Street. The building houses apartments on the upper floors and businesses on the bottom.

There were no reports of any injuries, but firefighters were forced to call in extra help from neighboring towns due to the brutal weather. Video from the scene showed one fire engine packed in ice.

Prior to receiving a call about the blaze, North Attleborough firefighters had already spent two hours responding to a fire at a different address.
