11-year-old beaten by teens in home robbery

An 11-year-old boy was beaten and robbed by four teenagers at his home in Lynn, police said.

Lynn police said two 13-year-olds and two 14-year-olds knocked on the door at the boy's home. When the boy opened the door, police said two of the teens attacked him, put a shirt in his mouth and held him down while the other two took jewelry, computers and some cash.

Police said when the boy's mother came home she found the boy crying and scared and called police. The boy was able to provide a description of one of the teens to police who found them all a short time later.

The teens, who were not identified because of their age, were charged with armed burglary, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. They were arraigned in juvenile court on Thursday.

Police said they were able to recover most of the items that were taken.
