WINCHESTER, N.H. — A 10-year-old boy died Saturday afternoon when he was hit by a car while sledding.
Winchester, NH Police said the boy was sledding down a hill behind his home that leads onto Michigan Street.
He didn't stop at the bottom of the hill, but slid into the road.
A Winchester resident was driving on Michigan St. when the two collided.
A woman didn't see the crash but heard it - she immediately ran over to the boy and began performing CPR.
The 10-year-old was rushed to the hospital, but didn't survive.
Police said the driver of the vehicle is cooperating fully with the investigation - they don't believe speed or impairment were factors in the crash.
No identities have been released. Police said the incident remains under investigation.
